Midland Wedding Show at The Belfry 03/10/2010 welcome expanding wedding businesses!
Karen and Gemma Morgan are a mother and daughter team based in Warwickshire and have been in the wedding industry for 7 years.
In 2003 Karen left the corporate world where she was involved in running large scale events and conferences and followed her dream, setting up Passion for Flowers in 2003, a garden design and wedding floral design business.
Passion for Flowers create beautiful floral wedding designs in styles to suit your wedding theme. They work on a frequent basis with wedding venues around Warwickshire and of course The Belfry.
“As the wedding side of Passion for Flowers began to develop and become more and more successful we found ourselves meeting with brides on a very regular basis and one of the common things they were asking was how could they make their wedding unique and personal? Where could they buy extra table and venue decorations?”
Passion for Flowers started offering some unique extras including petal confetti, bridal brooches, table plan ideas as well as a range of do it yourself workshops, which were really well received by brides.
After thought and consideration as well as valuable feedback from brides, Karen and daughter Gemma decided to go into business together and launched a new online shop, The Wedding of my Dreams, in August 2010.
Gemma studied Business Management at The University of Nottingham and developed valuable marketing, design and web skills after university, this coupled with the enjoyment she got from working for Passion for Flowers and the enthusiasm she has for the new venture puts the mother and daughter team in a great position. “Having taken all the product photography myself and designed the website I am so excited to see it finally go live. We have chosen table decorations and wedding ranges which we think are individual and unique all of which we are happy to have in our own home (and often do!).” Gemma
The Wedding of my Dreams wedding decorations range from table decorations, including hearts, candles and candle holders, freeze dried petal confetti, unique wedding favours, name place holders and some very individual ideas for table centres, to venue decorations including wedding bunting and wedding signs to stunning bridal jewellery.
