Function Band Live at Midland Wedding Show Villa Park

A perfect Wedding is made even more memorable, not by the lavish menu, the opulently designed interiors or even the guests. What makes a perfect Wedding trend social media with a plethora of posts is the atmosphere created entirely by the type of music selected. The kind of music that entices everyone to get up, shake off their deeply engrained anxieties and get their groove on, no matter how they look! In thee world of materialism it's incredible to find a collective of fine, highly trained musicians with this as their ethos.
Function Band Live consist of five musicians, consistent in their determination to make music for guests to feel relaxed, without inhibitions and without question, happy! Their formation is no coincidence. Frontman, Kyle Perry, no stranger to high profile events, as a Professional Footballer, was clear in his intentions when he created the quintet. " I felt cheated at events", he said, with a passion. People pay good money for entertainment at weddings, birthday parties and corporate events. On numerous occasions, I felt they had been let down by bands who didn't understand their audiences. Weren't really interested in interactivity; at times even bored." Kyle is no stranger to the music industry, having dedicated 14 years in the performance and entertainment industry,

Touring the UK to crowds excessing 30,000. He was named as "musician to watch" by BBC Introducing, writes original music, released and produced two albums and supported substantial UK and international acts. If that's not all, he's played live on radio and has been play listed over the years.

The band he's created with long time colleague and equally talented musician, lecturer and artist, David Ashford is described as together and Professional, creating an environment for friendly fun and highly interactive entertainment. "It's where fantastic rock hits meets pop classics" he smiled. "Floor fillers and party starters, where memories are captured and people are properly laughing out loud!"

When asked about the other members he grinned, "I'm just grateful they joined the band. They are the very best in their field. Matt, well he's got great credentials; a full time musician, multi instrumentalist (guitar, bass, mandolin) with 10 years experience. Oh, and a grade 8 in music theory!" He jokes. "I've talked about Dave, but he's a percussionist who can play a range of instruments; drums, xylophone, vibraphone, timpani and general percussion. He's performed in events across the nation, including Brass Band Competitions, Woodwind Competition, County Orchestra and StubbleMelt (Now The Melt). He's performed with huge artists, including; Scouting for Girls, Ordinary Boys, JLS, The Twang, The Enemy, Ocean Colour Scene, Lucy Spraggan, to name a few!" What he failed to mention was that Mr. Ashford has a first in Music BA (Hons) from Oxford Brookes University, is a Yamaha Music School drumming instructor in Birmingham and a qualified Music Teacher in a Secondary School.

He then moves onto Pau; a music teacher for 7 years with A Music Degree in Violoncello, a member of several orchestras such a JORVAL (Young Orchestra of Valencia) and Orchestra os University of Valenia, Orchestra of Castellón between others. Pau interjects here, "I have been trained by cellist such Lluis Claret, Marçal Cervera, Jose Enrique Bouche or Escrig Peris (Solist of the National Orchestra).

Also I have played with many Chamber orchestras and chamber groups (Duo, Trios, Quartets and Quintets)". Dave, another band member is also classically trained with a Grade 7 piano and an A-level in Music. He began his musical career aged 16 playing Dave Brubeck and movie theme tunes in a piano/ saxophone act known locally in Lancashire as "The Al & Dave Jazz " duo. " I went onto perform with numerous rock covers bands; since then playing Keys and Synths incl 3 years with Rock/Soul group Khaki Brown, who performed festivals and toured London between 2003 and 2004. I currently play with Birmingham funk group "The Parade", who have released a debut EP and performed live on radio.

These guys might be fun loving, very pretty on the eye, and clearly have the best relationship, but they really are seriously high brow musicians. I'm convinced; they are going straight to the top of the list of recommendations. These guys should be on your radar. Function Band Live; you know it makes perfect sense.
